The Annual Kevin James
Clay Shoot, www.kevinjamesclayshoot.com, that Devonshire's Officer Janse puts on each year at Elm Fork
Shooting Sports.
Kevin James was a Devonshire Patrol Officers before being
killed in the line of duty in 2001. (Not
only was he a dedicated Dallas Police Officer, he was Officer Janse's patrol partner and
best friend!)
We created the Kevin James Endowment Fund, benefiting the
Assist the Officer Foundation, www.ato.org
so “KJ”’s memory will live on forever.
Because the proceeds from the
clay shoot go to the Endowment Fund,
they will never be spent. Only the
interest will go to ATO to assist officers in times of need.
This year we have the great pleasure of partnering with The
Dickey Foundation, www.thedickeyfoundation.org, which is another great supporter of
first responders. We figured two heads are better than one when it comes to
raising money for injured officers or officers in financial need due to dire
circumstances.
Many of you have so graciously sponsored, donated to or even
shot in the shoot, and your chance to do it again is here. The day starts off with breakfast, then the
shooters hit the courses to shoot some clays and then back to base camp for
lunch and awards. What better chance to
hang out with a bunch of cops and show your support. ________________________________________________________
